Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level technical support to end-users via help desk platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across multiple operating systems including Windows.
- Assist with computer management tasks such as hardware setup, upgrades, and maintenance to optimize performance.
- Support network connectivity issues related to LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Manage desktop support activities including configuring computers, installing applications like Microsoft Office, and supporting peripheral devices.
- Maintain accurate records of support tickets, incident reports, and resolution steps using BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
- Communicate clearly with users to diagnose issues effectively and provide step-by-step guidance for problem resolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical support or IT support roles with a focus on computer management and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, and other operating systems is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with software troubleshooting, hardware diagnostics, and network configuration.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and switches.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with computer networking protocols, desktop support best practices, knowledge of BMC Remedy or ServiceNow platforms, and familiarity with operating systems like Windows Server environments.
