Overview:
We seek highly skilled Tactical Weapons-Based Course Instructors to deliver specialized training in high-risk military courses. The role requires exceptional technical knowledge, military experience, and instructional expertise to prepare Navy personnel for tactical operations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced tactical weapons training in support of specialized courses, ensuring high levels of student competence and operational readiness.
- Maintain a professional and motivating learning environment conducive to effective skill development and tactical decision-making.
- Demonstrate and teach modern combat shooting techniques, live-fire safety protocols, and tactical engagement strategies.
- Instruct Judgment-based Engagement Training (JET) encompassing dynamic use-of-force decision-making scenarios.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: High standards of technical knowledge and competence in tactical weapons training.
- Military Experience: Minimum of five years of documented armed tactical military operational experience.
- Instructional Skills: Proficiency in instructional delivery, including basic and advanced training techniques.
- Military Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. Navy organization, rank structure, terminology, and shipboard environments.
- Certifications/Education: Completion of Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) or equivalent academic credentialing.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform all training activities, including weapons qualifications and physical maneuvers.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in small arms employment (rifle, pistol, shotgun), tactical shooting, mission planning, and defensive tactics.
- Experience in non-lethal weapons deployment, tactical communication, and decision-making under stress.
- Familiarity with simulation-based training (e.g., SAWS) and Force-on-Force exercises with simulations.
Additional Requirements:
- Maintain personal technical and professional competence at or above Department of the Navy standards.
- Uphold safety protocols during live-fire training and simulation exercises.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and inspire military personnel.
