What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Transport Aide position at Conway Medical Center?
The Clinical Transport Aide (CTA) will mainly assist with movement of patients to and from radiographic tables and provide transport of non-oxygen and oxygen patients to and from various hospital locations. The CTA will provide general patient care according to departmental procedures, provide prompt and courteous response to needs and requests of patients, family and visitors and respond to questions politely with clear, accurate information. The CTA will clean assigned work area and equipment. When not involved with patient transport, the CTA will perform clerical duties and assist in coordinating activities in the Radiology Department. Upon request, the CTA will accurately and timely sign-out images, create CDs and place in the appropriate area or give to the patient. The CTA will accurately sort jackets and reports for filing and distribution, investigates missing folders/images, maintains and files information as requested for accurate and up-to-date patient and departmental records/reports.
Education:
- High school diploma required.
- Completed course in Medical Terminology preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a hospital setting with patient transport, patient transference, and clerical duties preferred.
