Job Summary
Oversees Cook County government's records management lifecycle, processes, and policies, ensuring compliance with State laws and County ordinances. Oversees the development of records management policies to control the retention and disposition of all records from paper sources. Serves as the primary liaison between the County government and Illinois State Archives. Analyzes legislative and legal requirements affecting records management and recommend and create new or amended records retention schedules.

Physical Requirements:
Light Work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount

- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher is required
- Five (5) years in administering government records management services retention programs, developing
directly related experience is required.
- Three (3) years of prior supervisory experience is required.
- Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance is required.

- Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.

record keeping requirements.
- Ability to interpret and apply provisions of Federal, State, and Local statutes, ordinances, and regulations

- Knowledge of best practices in the government records management industry through ongoing participation in

- Ability to manage professional and/or skilled support staff on a day-to-day basis.
