Cook II
Location: Asheville
CooperRiis's kitchen offers our team members a creative environment for our meal preparation using fresh, local, and organic wholes and also promotes a supportive team environment. We offer set shifts so our staff know their hours are guaranteed each week and they can count on a consistent start and end of all of their shifts. We also offer a full benefits package which includes generous PTO and sick time accruals!
Schedule:
- Full Time Guaranteed Hours
- 36-40 Hours per week
- 6 am to 4 pm shift
- 4 shifts per week
Pay: Starting at $16.50 - $19.50/hr and pay is based on experience

Responsibilities:
- Timely preparation and service of scheduled meals and snacks
- Creativity of meal preparation and planning using fresh, local, and organic whole foods
- Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment
- Follows all applicable health code regulations
- Ability to accommodate specific dietary needs
- Assists in the dish room as needed
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and/or 2-5 years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of whole food cuisine
- Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Experience working with adults coping with mental health challenges is preferred
