What are the responsibilities and job description for the BRANCH WAREHOUSE WORKER position at Cope Plastics Inc?
We’re looking for a 1st Shift Branch Warehouse Worker to join our Cope Plastics - Cedar Rapids, IA team. Our warehouse workers play a vital role in the success of our company, and ensure that customers receive excellent service through timely product delivery. This position will also be responsible for operation of a saw and drill press, so candidate must be willing to learn.
Essential Functions:
- Using numerous transfer methods for the shipping and receiving of product including but not limited to: forklift, hand truck, and/or other transport designed methods including physical labor
- Identifying information via count, weight or measurement for verification of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and/or other records
- Moving, storing, tracking, and locating inventory materials
- Identifying and selecting stock via written description, bar codes, tape measure and/or calipers
- Securing shipments and confirm correct documentation and labeling of shipments
- Maintaining a clean work environment following all safety procedures and regulations, including the assembly/disassembly of racks, transport skids and other like duties
Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
PC, barcode scanners, saws, calipers, tape measures, skid
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Requires a high school education or its equivalent.
Experience: Previous warehouse experience preferred.
