Overview:

We are seeking an Air Department Specialist to support the U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier ROC. This role focuses on Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and aviation support systems to ensure flight deck certification and readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ALRE Management: Provide technical and logistical guidance on ALRE Casualty Repairs (CASREPs) and assist in planning work packages.
  • Certification Support: Assist with equipment audits for Flight Deck Certification and provide training recommendations for aircraft handling and refueling.
  • Liaison Operations: Act as a force liaison for catapult, arresting gear, and crash and salvage training requirements.
  • Operational Oversight: Serve as a representative during sea trials and major training evolutions involving flight operations.
  • Modernization Planning: Analyze the impact of equipment casualties on maintenance programs and provide insights for long-range modernization.
  • Readiness Reporting: Facilitate Carrier Readiness Calls (CRCs) and develop associated briefs and metrics.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with ALRE, aviation fuel systems, and material condition of air systems equipment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience assisting ALRE Maintenance Officers with work package execution.
  • Prior USN Air-Enlisted Rating or Air-assigned Officer preferred.
  • Recent technical management experience with Naval Air Department requirements (within the last 5 years).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Eligible for Secret clearance
