Key Responsibilities:
- System Readiness: Assess weapon system requirements and their impact on a CVN's ability to certify for deployment.
- Technical Assistance: Provide on-site engineering and technical service for weapon system stowage, handling, and maintenance.
- Modernization Planning: Develop logic trees to represent mission area readiness and support weapon-related ship alterations and repairs.
- Training and Oversight: Oversee technical training, inspections, and the conduct of watch teams regarding handheld and crew-served weapons.
- Resource Management: Monitor critical supply requirements and coordinate security force weapons and ammunition issues.
- Trend Analysis: Integrate weapon system and elevator data to forecast potential fleet and force-level deficiencies.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in planning and administering Force Weapons and weapon system readiness.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in operation, diagnosis, repair, and safety of air and surface-launched weapon systems.
- Prior USN Weapons Enlisted Rating or Officer preferred.
- Recent technical management experience with Naval weapons requirements (within the last 5 years).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Norfolk, Virginia (customer site)
- Eligible for Secret clearance
