The Director, Asset Management provides a vital role in strategic company decision-making to maximize the financial performance of the Portfolio. This role will have the opportunity to manage the full business cycle of student housing investments including acquisitions, ongoing asset management and disposition. The Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a detailed pulse on each property and identify opportunities for improvements.
What You Will Do:- Manage key strategic decisions for a Portfolio of assets.
- Oversight of leasing, budgeting, financing, and operations to maximize asset value.
- Oversee and execute annual budgeting process for respective Portfolio assets.
- Mentor, inspire, and manage Analyst/Associate team members
- Assess monthly financials, determine key trends, and create investment performance reports for executive team and equity partners.
- Work with Operations, Property Accounting, and other key internal stakeholders to meet deadlines for internal and external reporting, and provide regular performance updates to Equity partners.
- Work with Development and Acquisition teams to review proformas, business plan for potential developments and acquisitions, and performing required due diligence.
- Assist in managing asset dispositions and recapitalizations, including the coordination of due diligence materials and communication of asset & market history for buyers.
- Occasional travel may be necessary as needed

Ideally, you'll have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics
- Knowledge of and experience with commercial real estate fundamentals and investment principles.
- 7 years of relevant industry experience.
- Advanced financial modeling skills including, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Works well independently and as a member of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Committed to excellence and high standards.
- Demonstrates utmost level of integrity in all instances, and shows respect towards others
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally
You'll crush it if you have experience with
- Experience in overseeing the full business cycle of student housing investments
- Communicating with equity partners, investors, and lenders, along with a deep understanding of joint venture agreements and loan documents.
- Experience in mentoring, inspiring, and managing Analyst/Associate team members

Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
