The Kirkbride Center is a licensed 302-bed comprehensive behavioral health care facility on a 17-acre campus in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA. We provide a spectrum of addiction services to our patients.
Job Overview:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position requires that the Nurse Practitioner collaborates with and under the physician’s direction. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Kirkbride Center, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations for patients with a range of both substance use disorders and psychiatric illnesses. You will play an integral role in developing a treatment plan for the patient and will continue to care for the patient throughout the duration of their stay at our inpatient program. Among other responsibilities, your role will consist of prescribing psychotropic medications, maintaining a therapeutic rapport, and providing psychoeducation.
Schedule:
Full-time – Monday through Friday - 8 hours a day
Requirements:
ASAM certification is required, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire to pass the probationary evaluation.
Prior D&A experience, preferred.
