FULL TIME-DAYS
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Trains others in providing 1:1 ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy to children in the CARE (Collaborative Autism Resources and Education) program. Trains and monitors behavioral treatment delivered by CARE ABA tutor(s) and CARE practicum trainees; functions as an assistant on at least 2 cases by analyzing data, reviewing treatment progress, and determining appropriate goals (curriculum development) as directed by TLF HOPE Center Clinical Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Trains ABA Tutors/practicum trainees in implementing treatment programs under direct supervision of CARE Clinical Manager, by modeling techniques, completing staff evaluations, and monitoring training progress. Percentage of time will vary depending on # of trainees. Verbally provides information to parents by reviewing child's progress note at end of each session. Demonstrate behavioral procedures to parents. Participates in parent consultation meetings when available. Provides information about observations noted while directly working with child. Assists with implementation of developmentally appropriate group learning sessions. Assists ABA Tutors in maintenance of curriculum materials. Performs additional activities necessary to ensure clean, safe and appropriate treatment area for patients.

Education / Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field; minimum of 500 hours of supervised experience in the application of behavioral principles to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders required.
Work Experience:
- Previous ABA Tutor experience required.
Certification, Licensure, Registration:
- None
Other Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and social skills, able to interact appropriately with young developmentally delayed children, manage numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; to interact with parents, staff and school personnel in a professional manner. Ability to give and receive feedback in a professional manner; ability to train others to implement curriculum and behavioral interventions as directed by the Clinical Manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Effort:
- Work requires extended walking throughout the Hospital, with medium to heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds, and pulling/pushing carts loaded with medications.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a normal Pharmacy environment with minimal noise. Exposed to patient care areas when delivering medication carts. Potential risk of an exposure to hazardous medications or waste materials of hazardous medications.
