Cornell College invites applications for a part-time public library assistant. The position works at the library’s first-floor circulation desk supporting public library services, programs, and patrons. The position’s hours are 9 AM to 11 AM, Monday through Friday, with very occasional late afternoon/evening hours.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Staff the 1st floor circulation desk.
- Works collaboratively with the Public Library Director and Circulation Supervisor.
Work Relationships
Reports to the Circulation Supervisor in consultation with the Public Library Director.
Education, Experience, and Certification:
High School diploma required. Library experience preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Excellent communication skills. Basic knowledge of general library procedures and customer service.

Work Location & Conditions
The work is varied, with some sitting, some standing, some lifting, and some walking around. Employees will be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned.
