Location: Remote – Candidate must reside in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, or New Mexico
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Pay Range: $38.10 – $42.18 per hour (based on certification)
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time
• Start Date: 08/11/2025
ROLE IMPACT
The Senior Medial Coding Specialist – Anesthesia plays a critical role in optimizing revenue cycle management through precise physician coding of anesthesia services. This position ensures compliance with all coding guidelines, reduces denials, and supports accurate billing processes by delivering consistent, high-quality coding with an accuracy rate of 95% or greater. Success is measured by coding accuracy, collaboration with internal teams, and adherence to organizational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform physician (Profee) coding exclusively for anesthesia services using ICD-10-CM and CPT.
• Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to assign accurate codes.
• Abstract and enter data into designated EMR systems.
• Ensure full compliance with ICD-10-CM and AMA CPT guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support accurate physician documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Online certification verification required; specialty coding certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Profee coding (physician coding) experience ONLY.
• Must reside in TX, LA, AR, GA, or NM.
• Must provide own laptop and dual monitors for remote work.
• Full-time availability required.
• High School Diploma or GED Required
