POSITION: Adoption Accelerator DEPARTMENT: Kansas Foster Care

PAY GRADE: 3                     SALARY: $40,019.20 - $46,696.00 annually

(Starting salary depends on education and experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Adoption Accelerator will partner with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) and the Foster Care Case Managers to serve children with a permanency goal of adoption, making decisions and recommendations to ensure the safety and welfare of those children. In this position, the ideal candidate will have advanced skills to assess program data to identify and resolve barriers to adoption. The Adoption Accelerator will demonstrate creative service delivery, strong time management skills and, excellent decision-making ability. The position will work with program staff at all levels to support, develop, and improve the quality of adoption services to clients served. The Adoption Accelerator reports to the Adoption Accelerator Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Education, Counseling, or Psychology and 2 years of experience in child welfare. Preferred: A license in Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (LBSW, LMSW, LSCSW, Professional Counselor, LMFT, and/or Alcohol and Drug Counselor). Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.  This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
