Maintenance Supervisor Job Responsibilities:
- Plans and organizes tasks and assignments for all technicians before the start of a shift.
- Prepares weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
- Supervises maintenance team and contractors.
- Responds to maintenance requests.
- Monitors inventory of materials, equipment, tools, and supplies, and orders replacements as required.
- Coordinates with other teams to keep projects on schedule.
- Leads safety inspections at worksites.
- Performs maintenance work as needed.
- Inspect facilities and building systems (heating, ventilation etc.) periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Escalates issues to management and recommends solutions.
- Ensures the team follows all company policies and procedures.
- Makes sure the team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Manages and maintains a preventive maintenance tasks to keep all day-to-day operations running smoothly
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Interviews potential maintenance team members.
- Oversees, motivates, and reviews maintenance staff including management of training and professional development

- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities
- Detail oriented
- Proficient Computer Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience is required and 1 year management experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Degree or diploma from a vocational school preferred.
- Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred
- OSHA 30-hour training preferred.
