The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing critical equipment to support our teams and minimize production downtime. This role contributes to efficient operations through collaboration and coordination with maintenance and other departments.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Maintain all aspects of greenhouse machinery using Computerized Maintenance Management System, C.M.M.S., Preventive Maintenance  (P.M.)
• Repair all aspects of greenhouse machinery including rolling stock, environmental equipment, production equipment and air compressors.
• Program and set up new and existing machinery as necessary     
• Be able to learn to operate powered vehicles (sweepers, forklifts etc)
• Be able to make permanent repairs using PVC piping.
• Be available to work weekends.
• Be able to use all tools and equipment necessary to make permanent repairs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Prepares reports documenting work performed.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Request supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs and supplies required.
• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
