The County of Butler is seeking an HR Director with strong leadership, organization and communication skills, to serve under the direction of the Butler County Board of Commissioners. Directs and oversees, the County’s Human Resources including department staff, Labor Relations including negotiating collective bargaining agreements and Occupational Safety and Health activities; ensuring that policies, programs and practices are implemented for: Employment, Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, Training, EEO/Affirmative Action, FMLA, Fair Labor Standards and Workers’ Compensation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration or HR Management and seven (7) years’ experience in personnel administration with supervision experience; Master’s Degree and PHR/SPHR Certification is desirable. Knowledge of County Code and applicable Federal, State and Local laws. Must have interpersonal, communication, leadership, problem-solving and computer skills; Must be professional, fair, and consistent; keeping confidentiality.
