Position Summary: The clerk/interpreter performs the necessary language interpretation tasks for the 16th Judicial District as well as clerical, data entry and customer service tasks of limited complexity and variety required by prescribed procedures. Supervision by the Clerk and detailed instructions are given on new assignments and on any irregularities encountered.

Essential Function Statement(s)
- Serve as Language Access Coordinator
- Provide interpretation services under a variety of circumstances and locations;
- Assist with public inquires;
- Assist with file management including preparation, scanning and storage of files, forms, reports and other materials;
- Complete research requests;
- Collect fees and record receipts.
- Make simple arithmetic calculations by the use of a calculator or computer.
- Perform receptionist duties.
- Translate information verbally and in writing to appropriate the language for the department.
