Quality Assurance Inspector

Purpose:
Responsible for performing day to day first part and lot inspection of product. Utilizes inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, plug, thread gauges, digital comparator, and FARO Arm utilizing Verisurf software, etc. to perform these inspection duties. Reads customer engineering (drawings, part lists OPSS etc.) and work orders to determine requirements. Completes First Article Inspection Reports. Supports production personnel with inspection issues. Dispositions Reject tags utilizing an ERP system on product that is or has been identified and nonconforming. Documents inspections in the daily catch log.

- Quality Work! Need to be able to perform consistent and accurate inspections without escapes.
- Accurately completes First Article Inspection Reports as required, on orders where performing the final inspection process.
- Must be able to interpret inspection and customer requirements and implement them accordingly based on the imposed requirements.
- Must be able to perform detailed and accurate inspections in a timely manner.
- Is well organized, has good record keeping skills and accurately completes and documents the imposed duties required of them as stated in the job description.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with and capable of using inspection tools as listed in the job description.
- Experience with and capable of accurately interpreting customer engineering (drawings, parts lists, OPSS, etc.) and specifications.
- Needs to be familiar with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports and be capable of completing First Article’s per the requirements of AS9102.
- Should have previous inspection experience in a machine shop environment or a machine/fabricated components mfg facility.
- Experience with using a FARO Arm utilizing Verisurf software.
