Cox Orthotics manufactures custom foot orthotics to help people lead more active, healthier lives. We do not see patients. We design, manufacture, repair and distribute foot orthotics only as prescribed and specified by licensed medical practitioners.

The regular job tasks include: selecting materials, gluing, cutting, forming and grinding materials according to the instructions from a prescription form and with the help of others. This is an entry level position in which we provide the training. It takes a few months to get up to speed and learn the job and we want to show you how it's done.

Job Description:

  • Custom Foot Orthotic fabrication and assembly
  • Cutting / Grinding plastic, composites and cushion materials
  • Vacuum forming materials
  • Gluing materials
  • Quality inspection
  • General laboratory maintenance

Skills:

  • Must be able to work with hands and shop tools
  • Basic math skills for cutting and trimming materials
  • Good communication skills

Abilities:

  • Work at a fast pace while being accurate
  • Mechanical
  • Ability to pay attention to fine details
  • Can stand on feet for long periods of time using tools
  • Quick learner
  • Reliable

Experience:

  • Shop tools; band saw, grinder
  • Previous employment in production, manufacturing, construction or food services industry where efficiency was required.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

  • Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
