Inventory & Purchasing Specialist
CPC is searching for a detail-oriented team member to manage inventory and assist with the purchasing and pricing of products.
Primary Duties:
- Work with management to determine purchasing needs and requirements for production and resale
- Identify the most appropriate supplier for designated products, determine availability, perform comparative pricing, confirm quantity of products and establish delivery timelines
- Perform all purchasing functions for designated products, such as issuing purchasing Orders (POs), pricing verification, payment authorization, and data entry in appropriate systems
- Manage the pricing strategies and communication of pricing updates; update cost as appropriate for all product groups and generate price lists
- Input and maintain database of products, including daily production and inventory updates
- Assist in identifying and resolving any issues related to purchased product quality, pricing, delivery, utilization, and loss
- Perform inventory cycle counts, spot counts and periodic reconciliation of inventory; research any variances and authorize appropriate inventory adjustments
- Update decision makers on any new suppliers or alternative products that may be more efficient or cost effective
- Conduct records audit of inventory, adjustments and other metrics and prepare reports of findings, as needed
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse management, or related field preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of production planning principles and practices
- Experience in supplier management a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
