We’re looking for a motivated Purchasing Specialist to support our field and warehouse operations through proactive procurement, vendor coordination, and inventory tracking. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys logistics, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate daily material, tool, PPE, and equipment purchases to meet project timelines.
- Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain organized purchasing records in Computer Ease.
- Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times.
- Monitor inventory levels in the warehouse and shop; ensure timely restocking and returns.
- Support warehouse organization, scheduling, and deliveries.
- Track equipment movement, tool maintenance, and rental returns.
- Resolve purchasing or delivery issues with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate supplier databases and purchasing documentation.
- Support compliance with company safety standards and cost control initiatives.
Physical & Work Environment:
- Office-based with regular warehouse and jobsite visits.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, climb ladders, and walk job sites.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions and construction environments.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of purchasing experience in a commercial and industrial construction environment.
- Familiarity with industry-specific materials, including electrical/mechanical/telecom parts, PPE, tools, equipment, and construction supplies.
- Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations related to construction procurement.
- Experience collaborating with or managing warehouse or procurement team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3 years of purchasing experience in a commercial electrical, telecom, or mechanical construction setting.
- Prior experience working with Excel Services, Inc. or a comparable contractor of similar size and scope.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiation, supply chain efficiency, and managing procurement documentation.
