The Utah Transit Authority is seeking a highly qualified, proactive Government Relations Director to directly manage the Utah state and federal government strategies and relationships with UTA’s lobbyists and provide leadership to staff on local government strategic plans.
This role is critical in ensuring that UTA’s interests are effectively represented and advanced in the public policy arena. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in government relations, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate complex political landscapes with diplomacy and tact. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced proactive professional capable of navigating complex political landscapes, building strong relationships, and advancing UTA’s strategic goals. This position requires a blend of strategic insight, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. With a minimum of five years of relevant experience, preferably in public transit or community affairs, they bring a deep understanding of public policy and government relations, along with a commitment to ethical and transparent conduct.
