Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service while managing guest seating and processing transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a welcoming atmosphere is essential to ensuring a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements.
- Manage the flow of guests in the dining area to optimize seating efficiency.
- Process customer orders and payments accurately using the Aloha POS system.
- Provide information about menu items and specials, ensuring guests have a clear understanding of offerings.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Uphold high standards of guest relations by demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when handling reservations or inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
