Private Music Teacher – Cello

A part-time Private Music Teacher is needed for the 2022/2023 academic year. This person will teach Cello
lessons at various grade levels as well coach a string quartet at the upper school with rehearsals taking place
during the school day. The quartet rehearsal schedule and times will be determined by the Orchestra Director.
Instructors focus on scales, arpeggios, etudes, solo, and chamber music literature. Families contact instructors to
request lessons, sign a contract, and schedule mutually convenient times for the student and instructor. Note:
This is not a full-time or consistent part-time position; Lessons are by appointment only and instructors are paid
bi-weekly for lessons taught. Pay rate is $35 per 30-minute lesson.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
accomplishments in cello performances are preferred.
• Lesson planning experience is required.
