Occupational Summary
Craven Community College is seeking to expand our pool of part-time faculty to teach Small Engine Repair classes in the Workforce Development Department. Openings for these positions may not exist at the present time; however upon review of your qualifications, you may be contacted directly by the department on an as needed basis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for providing vocational/technical instruction to adults in the field of small engine/power equipment repair.
Position requires flexible working hours; day, evening and possibly weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred:
Small Engine Repair Certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate well and instruct with expertise a diverse population on appropriate maintenance and repair of small engines used in a variety of power engines
Ability to monitor, motivate and prepare students for entry into the work force upon successful completion of course
Ability to develop vocational education curriculum; accurately keep records and submit required documentation
Ability to use Microsoft Office Outlook and PowerPoint
