Position: Maintenance Associate – St Louis, MO

Salary Type: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary
The Maintenance Associate will be responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance, repairs, and grounds keeping tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and visual appeal of the historic facilities and landscape
Essential Job Duties Perform general maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, fencing, infrastructure, and farm equipment Conduct grounds maintenance duties such as mowing and trimming, landscaping including excavating by machine and hand, fencing maintenance, tree trimming, etc. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment (forklift, skid steer, trailers) in performing duties. Ability to operate heavy equipment forklift, skid loaders, tractors, zero turn mowers, aerial lifts, etc. (training can be provided) Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical and carpentry issues Respond to emergencies and support any after-hour needs of the Farm or Facility. Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems and report findings Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age with one year of post high school college or work experience. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must have the ability and knowledge to use hand and power tools including hammer, sledgehammer, shovel, jackhammer, chain saw, miter saw, table saw, etc. Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to lift or carry 80 lbs. Must be able to operate heavy machinery and use hand and electrical tools. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, evenings and holidays. Must be able to work and walk outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, inclement weather, cold, etc
