Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly organized and skilled Sterile Compounding & Processing Pharmacy Technician to support their growing home infusion pharmacy operations. This role emphasizes sterile IV compounding while also incorporating processing functions such as patient intake, insurance verification, prior authorization, and revenue cycle support.
Key Responsibilities: Perform sterile compounding of IV admixtures in compliance with USP / Maintain clean room standards and documentation (batch records, expiration dates) Support medication labeling, packaging, and inventory management Verify insurance, obtain prior authorizations, and coordinate patient care schedules Maintain audit-ready compliance with HIPAA, CMS, DEA, and accrediting bodies
Qualifications: High school diploma required; accredited pharmacy tech training preferred Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician license and national certification (or within 6 months) 2 years of pharmacy tech experience; 1 year in sterile compounding required Home infusion processing experience strongly preferred Proficiency in aseptic technique, infusion therapies, and pharmacy software (e.g., CPR )
