As an Accountant III, you’ll play a key role in general ledger accounting, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting activities. Reporting to the Controller, you will:
- Prepare complex journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures.
- Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.
- Analyze financial results and prepare narratives for internal reporting.
- Provide audit support by preparing documentation and addressing requests.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies.
- Help improve accounting workflows and document internal processes.
- Assist in accounting policy updates and system testing.
- Train stakeholders on general ledger processes and reporting standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6 years of experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Experience in healthcare accounting or familiarity with FQHC requirements preferred
