- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts.
- Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA designation is a plus
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Non-profit and/or Government accounting experience preferred
- Project accounting experience is preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software Deltek CostPoint highly preferred, and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
