Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements, including US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
- Minimum four years of experience in an accounting role, with previous experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
