Overview
Crestron Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Applications Engineering. Managers within this group act as a resource for Applications Engineers as they take calls, emails, and chats from customers. A strong technical background is required to provide technical assistance to both the team and to customers. The role is also responsible for maintaining schedules, ensuring team engagement, clear communications to the team and to customers, monitoring for quality and coaching team members in both technical and soft skills, and various other tasks as assigned. An eye for detail and strong communications skills are a must. This is a great time to join a dynamic team in a fast growing organization!
Responsibilities
- Maintain Call Center KPI’s for assigned team members.
- Coach Application Engineers on call quality and policies/procedures.
- Be an escalation path for Application Engineers with trouble cases.
- Perform evaluations of calls/cases to ensure best quality and practices are followed for the best support experience possible.
- Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application via phone and remote support applications
- Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users via remote support applications and phone.
- Provide product, design and specification development support to dealers.
- Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.
- Perform technical/ product training for dealers and targeted accounts.
- Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives.
- Maintain professional business relationships within target accounts.
- Provide status of ongoing projects and future projects.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Engineering, Technical Field, or 5 years equivalent experience in a similar industry role.
- 5 Years Experience in Technical Support, AV Systems Programming / Integration, Technical Management, or Systems Engineering role
- Simpl Windows proficiency
- VT ProE proficiency
- Proficiency with Crestron control systems, video products, and software tools
- Networking Skill
- C# is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Read architectural, mechanical and electrical blueprints and have a solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical control systems
