Duties
- Lead and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
- Manage inventory control and ordering of supplies to minimize waste and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food handling, and safety practices.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods.
- Plan and execute catering events and banquets as required.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to established recipes.
- Handle shift management responsibilities to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the culinary field.
- Strong background in fine dining establishments with a focus on high-quality food production.
- Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and food service management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Experience in catering services is preferred but not mandatory.
