We are hiring for a newly created Head of Investment role to partner with planning and buying teams, as well as external agency partners to contribute to developing the most innovative media buying/activation approach in the industry.
This role will establish strategies and processes across the agency enterprise media buying (all channels) with the goal of creating a new model where the agency considers every option available, including gaining access to new channels of purchasing media.
We’re seeking a candidate with experience in negotiating large media deals, and someone who is as comfortable in the digital space as they are in the broadcast space. This person must think and act progressively, a true visionary.
An ideal candidate understands the entire media process and can think strategically and holistically across all media channels. Strong connections and relationships in the advertising and media community a must. This role will actively participate in client and new business presentations and this person should be a very effective and inspiring communicator.
Functional Experience
- 15 years hands on experience buying on and offline media.
- All forms of video including linear, unwired, trade/barter, DR, scatter, OTT, and digital across both National and Local markets.
- Digital-forward media thinking with experience across partnerships and platforms
- Expert publisher relationship management including creating agency wide opportunities, efficiencies, and innovations. Experience leading multi-client upfront commitments.
- Understands the intricacies of both the buy and sales side of the media planning and buying models
- Strong analytical mindset needed along with experience crafting and delivering media buys that are fully accountable to client business results.
- Understanding of outcome-based measurement practices such as Multitouch Attribution (MTA)
A track record of beating the market alongside a plan/methodology for benchmarking, tracking, and merchandising those results.
Well-versed in presentation development and delivery – internally, with client and new business
