About the Position

We are seeking a full-time Business Office, Payroll, and HR Manager to join our amazing team based in Oakland, CA! The primary objective of this role is to serve our team members and help them have a great work experience.

The leader we select for this role will be critical to our success as they help ensure accuracy of payroll, lead out in new employee orientation, manage various team member recognition programs, help with the interview process, and support the team with benefit and other HR related matters.

Our ideal candidate is a proactive, team-oriented individual who has computer skills and able to work with spreadsheet. The Office Manager is also responsible for coordinating all office activities including accounts payable, medical records, data entry, maintaining patient records, preparing for all meetings, coordinating all telephone calls, and maintaining sufficient office supplies. The Business Office Manager is accountable to the Executive Director and assists with direct patient expenditures, coordination, payroll, personnel records, and billing liaison responsibilities.

This is a full-time, Monday - Friday position based in our San Francisco office.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality with patient and team member information
  • Communicates effectively on the telephone and via electronic means with patients, families, and staff
  • Leads office team, and ensures office operations are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensures billing and collections are within agency standards
  • Manages office operation costs and keeps within the agency budget
  • Support and assist Impact HR team licenses renewals
  • Supports Impact HR and Payroll processes
  • Tracks AP and ensures timely payment of vendors
  • Works in conjunction with Clinical Leadership to ensure timely documentation and orders management
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications:

  • Three years of professional working experience
  • At least two (2) years experience in health care operations management, preferably in home health and hospice care operations
  • Knowledge of information systems required including spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel
  • Knowledge of corporate business management, governmental regulations, and Joint Commission standards
  • Excellent, proven skills in communications, leadership, and public relations
  • Billing experience in Home Health and Hospice a plus
  • Experience working with ADP a big plus
