Description
General Summary:
Safely Operates the billet cut saw to cut aluminum logs into specified lengths per billet cut sheets and ensure the dimensions are within tolerance to meet production demands of customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the correct cut length is entered into the HMI screen.
- Verify cut length with tape measure.
- Count every pc in each bundle.
- Adjust the blade speed as needed to complete the cut.
- Attends to saw at all times while in operation.
- Follows all safety rules at all times.
- Checks and maintains coolant levels. Fills as needed.
- Must communicate effectively with co-workers and lead.
- Keep work station clean and orderly.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of production operations normally acquired by six months of experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous saw experience helpful.
- Forklift certification necessary.
- Ability to work in a team or independently.
- Ability to read, count perform simple math equations and accurately measure is required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous experience with small hand tools is beneficial (Tape measure, square, air gun, calculator, feeler gage, caliper)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
