Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: 📍 Location: Southbury, CT 🕒 Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | 40 Hours/Week 🏥 Department: Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our high-volume plastic surgery practice in Southbury, CT. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and is comfortable with the unique needs of urologic and surgical patients. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow, assisting providers with procedures, and delivering respectful, high-quality care. Key Responsibilities Prepare exam and treatment rooms and assist patients during visits. Collect and document patient history, vital signs, medications, allergies, and chief complaints in the EMR. Assist with in-office procedures, catheter care, specimen collection, and patient education. Process lab and diagnostic results, ensuring timely review and filing. Coordinate patient flow and collaborate with front desk staff to optimize scheduling. Support administrative tasks such as answering phones and scheduling appointments. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 6 months of relevant clinical experience. Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred. National Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus. CPR certification required. Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
