Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Assess and develop program and training solutions via systematic processes to achieve corporate and client training and performance needs. Support research and innovation initiatives to grow, generate revenue, and impact learning and performance outcomes across the enterprise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Training and Experience:   Five (5) years of Instructional Systems Development experience to include front end analyses, training needs analysis, instructional design and development, implementation and evaluation. Experienced in user-centered design in synchronous, asynchronous and remote delivery of learning products and systems. Experienced in the design, implementation and management of Learning Management Systems to include LMS features, organization, and feature utilization. Extensive project management experience applied in individual and team-based contexts. Aviation and military experience a plus. Portfolio/Work Samples will be requested for review.

Skills:   Experienced in innovating and scaling programmatic initiatives with futurist visioning and execution.  Experienced managing complex and fast-evolving initiatives and programs. Understanding of business functions to include business development, management, team dynamics, and supervision. Demonstrate competency in strategic planning and leadership. Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving. Team-player with the ability to work independently and proactively in order develop high quality products meeting strict deadlines.  Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and effectively communicate with business leaders, clients, subject matter experts, and staff. Expertise in application of learning theory and Instructional Design development practices and methodology. Ability to conduct analyses and needs assessments in order to successfully work with subject matter experts, and to design and develop targeted learning solutions. Strong analytical skills with a detail- oriented approach to assessing scope, requirements, standards, and deliverables. Professional technical writing, verbal communication skills, and strong technology skills required. Committed to excellence and accountability.

Computer Skills:  Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Able to learn and apply expertise in design approaches using courseware development systems such as Articulate, Rise, Storyline and Studio, Microsoft SharePoint, and Moodle LMS.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct front end analyses and needs assessments ensuring data driven decisions and solutions
  • Apply best practices in instructional design to ensure student-centered learning; objectives-based content creation, student engagement and evaluation methods
  • Design, develop, and review courseware for instructional integrity, including adapting course objectives and content to conform to ISD standards and adapting presentations to meet business requirements and standard formats (new design, fonts, graphics, etc.)
  • Assess training solution requests for proposal to identify key discriminators in accordance with clients’ professes needs and requirements
  • Develop technically compliant methods and means for responding to RFP requirements and details demonstrating past performance and capabilities to achieve or exceed RFP requirements.
  • Craft and develop formal responses to RFP requirements in the areas of instructional design, technical approach, managing, staffing, and quality control
  • Assess volume of work and scope of effort requirements in response to RFP to include staffing criteria and distribution of labor.
  • Participate in internal training and performance analyses to identify performance gaps and opportunities for advancing operational performance within corporate and contracted efforts
  • Follow and comply with CTI processes, standards of development, and style guides.
  • Ensure materials adhere to established formats, reflect approved objectives and offer means for criterion based evaluation.
  • Develop, evaluate, and ensure quality control of products in adherence to CTI development standards and processes.
  • Organize and manage multiple projects and effectively communicate with business leaders, clients, subject matter experts, and staff in order to fulfil taskings and assignments.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability and self-discipline in the prioritization and accomplishments of tasks to ensure priorities and timelines met.
  • Review final courseware package by comparing course design, student guide, and lesson plan to ensure that there are no discrepancies or missing elements and that the performance activities function.
  • Design and utilize LMS to assign, load, and track courseware for students, manage users, run reports, and troubleshoot issues
  • Research new technologies and techniques in the learning community.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
