Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Fargo, ND
Duration: 12 Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension)
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Training on 1st shift required)
Job Description:
We’re seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to support testing, troubleshooting, and readiness of electronic assemblies in a production and engineering environment. This role is fully onsite and ideal for someone with a strong mechanical/electrical background who enjoys working with tools, equipment, and technical documentation.
Responsibilities
Perform manual testing on electronic assemblies and accurately document results
Set up laboratory and test equipment following engineering instructions
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and products
Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes using established methodologies
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams
Maintain detailed and accurate product records and documentation
Work independently while supporting operational goals and timelines
Required Qualifications
A.S. in Electronics, two-year technical diploma, military technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience
Minimum 1 year of related technical experience (3 years preferred)
Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, and technical documents
Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to relocate and work onsite from day one
Preferred Qualifications (Standout Skills)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and electronic components
Knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Electronics
- Electrical contracting / Electrician work
- On-road or off-road automotive repair
- Communication or networking hardware
- Robotics, automation, or mechatronics
- Farming or agricultural equipment
