Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Data Security Administrator (Level 3).
The work will be done onsite in East Peoria, IL. This is a long-term position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $51.28 full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking an experienced Data Security Administrator to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures that protect enterprise information systems. This role focuses on safeguarding data from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure while ensuring systems meet security and compliance standards. The position works closely with IT, cybersecurity, and business partners to embed security into system architectures and application lifecycles. This is an excellent opportunity for a security-focused professional with strong technical depth and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for enterprise information systems
• Conduct security control compliance reviews for IT applications
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective remediation strategies
• Review system and application architectures for alignment with security policies
• Provide technical guidance on cybersecurity principles and secure system design
• Support encryption solutions, firewall implementations, and secure data transmission
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into development lifecycles
• Promote security awareness and best practices across the organization
• Utilize tools such as ServiceNow and Azure DevOps for tracking and workflow management
Required Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
• 5–7 years of hands-on IT experience, including 2–3 years in cybersecurity-focused roles
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and enterprise system security
• Experience reviewing or documenting large-scale system architectures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience as an IT Architect, Cloud Architect, or Network Security Architect
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53/800-171, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls, or Zero Trust Architecture
• Experience working in regulated or enterprise-scale environments
