What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Labor position at Curbtender, Inc.?
General Laborer performs a variety of tasks. Tasks will include preparing garbage truck bodies for paint.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare equipment for painting which will include washing, sanding, cleaning and scrapping.
- Maintain work area free from debris and dirt.
- Perform any unskilled job throughout the plant.
- May be trained to work in skilled departments.
- Report any issues to supervisor
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen, understand and follow directions
- Time management and organization to ensure scheduled units are prepared and ready for paint on time
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, stooping, squatting.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs at times
- Able to work in a variety of conditions, heat/cold and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated job duties
