Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil litigation cases in court and during mediation or arbitration
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations in civil matters
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes
- Collaborate with colleagues and other legal professionals to prepare for trials
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of case developments and communications
- Stay updated on changes in civil law and litigation practices in Montana
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Montana
- Proven experience in civil litigation, with a track record of successful case management
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures and legal research techniques
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
