Position Overview
The Field Service Technician - Generator will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of generator systems and related power generation equipment. This role is critical in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of industrial power generation sets in various environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of generator systems including gas engines and electrical switch gear.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with generators and related equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of equipment to identify potential problems before they occur.
- Collaborate with clients to provide technical support and solutions for their power generation needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards during service and installations.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including parts used and labor hours spent.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in the industrial power generation sector.
- Familiarity with gas engines, electrical switch gear, and automatic transfer switches.
- Experience working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and understanding of EGSA standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites.
