IT Security Director

IT Security DirectorBased in Phoenix, AZ, we are a publically traded firm with an established brand and over 5000 employees. We have a large portoflio of businesses that we've acquired and we continue to acquire more as we scale. Currently, we are looking for an Director of IT Security to spearhead,  manage and develop our security & IT programs across the firm.This is an excellent opporunity for someone who wants to have visiblity across a large organization and collaborate with c-suite executives / stakeholders.Position OverviewThe IT Security Director is responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's information security strategy, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong leadership and strategic planning skills to safeguard the company's information technology assets and to manage risks associated with cybersecurity threats.This position is 100% on-site in Phoenix, AZ and requires travel about 20% of the time.Salary : $160,000 - $180,000 base annual bonus programKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the organization's IT security strategy and roadmapLead and manage the information security team to ensure effective protection of data and systemsEnsure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as SOX Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and threatsDevelop and enforce security policies and procedures to mitigate risksCollaborate with stakeholders to align security initiatives with business objectivesManage security incidents and coordinate response efforts during breachesOversee vendor management and third-party security assessmentsContinuously monitor the security landscape to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilitiesDevelop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure resilience in the face of incidentsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleGood expeirence managing security programs for publically traded companies or in acquisition-based environmentsProven experience in developing and implementing security strategies and policiesStrong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulationsCISSP, CISM, or CISA certification is highly desirableExperience with security technologies such as SIEM, DLP, and malware protectionExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to assess and manage risks while aligning security strategies with business goalsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with IT audit processes and risk analysisBenefitsAnnual bonus planMedical, dental, vision insuranceFlexible spendingDependant careHSAShort & long-term disabilityLife insurance401k with matchPTO
