- Serve as the primary point of contact between MEP subcontractors, internal project teams, design partners, and clients.
- Develop detailed scopes of work and responsibility matrices for all MEP packages.
- Review subcontractor proposals and change orders, verify accuracy, and support award recommendations.
- Lead value engineering efforts for MEP systems and help ownership teams make informed decisions that meet budget and functional needs.
- Identify long-lead materials and manage early procurement strategies to protect the project schedule.
- Participate in design coordination meetings from early stages through completion, and support project management and VDC teams with outstanding MEP issues.
- Track design constraints, coordinate resolutions, and maintain alignment between design progress and schedule requirements.
- Establish quality checkpoints to confirm compliance with project plans, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Provide regular cost updates and document changes tied to design or field conditions.
- Assist with phasing strategies, construction sequencing, and site logistics.
- Help resolve conflicts among MEP trades and promote collaborative solutions.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and owner training for MEP systems.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical education and construction experience.
- 2 years of commercial construction experience with strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Experience working with or for a general contractor is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multiple teams.
