Residential Estimator

Position Overview

The Residential Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with residential construction projects, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses. This role requires a keen understanding of HVAC systems, project management, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings. The Estimator will work closely with project managers and team members to ensure project bids are competitive and profitable.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Perform labor, material, and subcontractor cost estimations for HVAC systems.
• Conduct profit analysis to ensure project viability and competitiveness.
• Utilize data analysis to forecast project costs and trends.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors to obtain pricing and scope of work.
• Oversee the preparation of bid proposals and submit them in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the estimation process.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HVAC estimating and project management.
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpretation of mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency in data analysis and cost estimation methodologies.
• Experience in labor cost estimation, material cost estimation, and subcontractor cost estimation.
• Familiarity with HVAC design principles and practices.
• Excellent team management and communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and Energy Gauge software.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
