What are the responsibilities and job description for the Showroom Intern position at Cynthia Rowley?
Cynthia Rowley is looking for a highly motivated Showroom Intern to join the team at their headquarters in Tribeca. The goal for the internship is to gain a deeper understanding of the wholesale and retail business as well as gaining experience in management, merchandising, and sales. This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate pursuing a degree in Business Management or Advertising and Marketing Communications who is looking to enter the fashion industry. The Showroom Intern will work closely with the Retail Director but ideally is open to learning and assisting in other areas such as Public Relations & Social Media Management, Wholesale/Dropship, Fashion Design, and Customer Care. The internship must be exchanged for school credit. Hours are flexible though a minimum of 10 hours a week is required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Retail Director with day to day operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and stockroom organization.
- Assist Retail Director with customer styling, event set up, and sales floor replenishment.
- Assist the E-Commerce team with fulfilling and shipping online orders.
Qualifications:
- Must be a current student working toward a degree.
- Retail experience not required but strongly preferred.
- Must be able to commit at least 10 hours per week at our HQ in Tribeca, NY.
- Be very organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Be willing to learn and take direction.
