The Dahl Auto Museum in downtown La Crosse offers visitors a great opportunity to view a wide variety of restored classic vehicles, hood monuments, automobile history and more! The Museum is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10am-4pm, so we are seeking a candidate to work approximately 9:30am-4pm on those days. Occasionally, with events held in the Museum, there are other opportunities to pick up additional hours.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests entering the museum
- Answer phone calls to the museum
- Guide tours through the museum for guests, or answer their questions as they explore in the museum
- Maintain the cleanliness of the museum (dusting of vehicles, etc.)
- Assist with the coordination and set up for events held in the museum
- Respond to online inquiries and emails in a timely manner
- Educate others about the Museum through social media posting and public programs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent listening/communication skills, outgoing and positive personality
- Ability to drive a manual transmission, preferred
- Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility and dynamic work environment
- Professional appearance
- General knowledge of vehicles
- Organizational skills
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
