Role Description

Dallas Country Club is currently seeking qualified individuals for full-time or part-time Host positions at the Sports Grill. DCC, founded in 1896, is the most exclusive and prestigious private club in the area and we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet Members/Guest by name, if possible. 
• Make sure all menus are wiped down, free of spots or stains, and complete.
• Make sure entry doors are clean, free of debris and inviting.
• Check the reservation book for the day/night’s reservations.
• Check with the manager to ensure there are no large or private parties you do not know about.
• Help manage the flow of the restaurant with table seating and member satisfaction
   Plan out the seating chart and organize the reservations (planning is everything when running an effective host stand).
• Greet guests, escort them to their table, pull seats out for the ladies, and present menus.
• Make sure the server is aware they have been sat.
• Keep the counts for individual servers so things come out fair at the end of the night.
• Keep in constant contact with the servers and the kitchen staff.
• Say bye to all the guests.
• Manage To- Go Orders when needed.
• Know the full menu and stay up to date on the menu changes.
• Keep up to date on cover counts.
• Send cover count email each day before closing.
• Keep daily event list. 
• Cleans and stores children's highchairs and booster seats.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Restaurant experience is a plus.
• Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• Must show professionalism.
• Must be able to read menus.
• Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to Guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance.
• Must be able to clearly communicate Guests' needs to servers, Managers, etc.
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone
• Must be Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficient 
• Multitasking emails/phone/iPad

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and qualities:

• Physical requirement, being able to lift or move objects up to 25lbs. 
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
• Must have a great attitude.
• Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• A desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
• Passion for providing extraordinary service
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
