- Maintain all financial data for individual grants using the school district financial accounting system.
- Approve purchase orders and expenditures to maintain budgetary limits and compliance with grant requirements.
- District liaison for disseminating information to program personnel regarding compliance.
- Complete required monthly and annual State grant reporting.
- Prepare monthly and year end reconciliations, analysis and reports.
- Assist in year end City audit preparation various program audits.
- Support annual grant application processes by costing salary and benefits data.
- Review Education Services accounts payable batches and process checks..
- All other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
- Financial recordkeeping skills.
- Knowledge of grant accounting, purchase order procedures and general fund accounting.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Effective computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, accounting software).
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to meet deadlines timely and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and various state and federal agencies.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- Three years of accounting/bookkeeping experiences.
- Knowledge of school district programs preferred.
